Where Wildlife Meets Artistry

About the Artist

Greetings!  I'm Chad See, owner and taxidermist here at Mount'n Critters Taxidermy.  Like many of you, I have been an avid outdoorsman all my life.  I grew up fishing and hunting near my home here in Valley Head, WV but as I grew older have traveled from the Florida Keys to Quebec in search of hunting and fishing adventures.  Along with my passion for the outdoors, I've always had a passion for art.  After graduating from Davis and Elkins College, I found myself without a clear goal of what I wanted to do.  Then it hit me.  I could combine my love of both the outdoors and art by becoming a taxidermist.  With that in mind, I went to the Western PA School of Taxidermy.  I did well at taxidermy school and upon graduation had the confidence I needed to open my own studio.  I started out doing work for friends and family and soon enough word had spread and more work flowed in.  As my business grew I found myself needing a larger more efficient facility to work out of.  With that being said, 2010 was the year I decided to build a new studio.  In July of 2011 all the construction was completed and the new studio opened.    The new shop is complete with a work area, a skinning room, paint booth and a full show room for clients to stop in and view examples of my work.  With the new studio up and running I'm looking forward to preserving outdoor memories for my past clients and many new clients to come.
